The coveted original 1969 Woodstock Festival Concert Program is a record of one of music history’s greatest events. It includes the schedule of performers on August 15, 16, and 17, 1969, a welcome message, drawings, photos, poems, and essays that convey the spirit of the legendary festival. Each program’s 58 color and black and white pages are in excellent condition. They were acquired directly from the printer after the concert.
The authenticity of the program can be verified by checking the placement of the title and coloring of the front cover. A genuine program has the white-lettered title, 3 days of peace & music, on a daisy field. The letter “o” should look like it is on top of a daisy bud. The letter “c” in music appears to be located between two flower stems that form an upside down “v.” Check the yellow pages for watermarks. When held up to light, there should be long vertical lines and short horizontal lines.
